Modestly Adorned Monday – Summer Maxi Skirt!

Today my 13 year old daughter wore a new-to-her skirt to church and I wanted to share.   The girls in our family normally wear skirts, and I was thrilled to find this one for under $5!   I think she did a wonderful job pairing this skirt with staples she already had in her wardrobe.

caabmelblue5 (1224 x 1632) (My girl.  This child has never had to dry or brush her hair, and it ends up looking like this!  It is hard for me to not covet these locks!)

caabmelblue2 (1224 x 1632)

caabmelblue4 (1224 x 1632)

caabmelblue3 (1224 x 1632)

caabmelblue1 (1224 x 1632)

Yellow Top – Thrift Store (Cato brand)

Undershirt – Walmart

Blue Maxi Skirt – Thrift Store (220 Hickory brand)

Jeweled Sandals – Academy Sports (I scored these on clearance for $4.98!)

Lily Bloom Handbag – Belk

I loved the way this modest/frugal/cute outfit turned out!  You can view our family’s view on modesty here.  Also, feel free to take a look at our convictions about wearing skirts almost exlusively.

I do most of my shopping for our family at children’s consignment sales.  I love these semi-annual sales, we usually find deals for under thrift store prices!

I also would love to share some goodness around the web today!  It’s All A Lie from In the Nursery of the Nation is an excellent read.  Also check out Motherhood: It’s What God Gave You Time For by Generation Cedar.

Be blessed!
