Why Christian Women Should Dress Modestly Vlog

Today, I totally stepped out of my comfort zone and posted a vlog giving a short introduction about why Christian women should dress modestly.  This really only touches the surface, but I hope that it might encourage someone if they are interested in learning more about this topic.

As a young Christian, I found that it was difficult learn about this topic since it wasn’t taught in my church, and I never saw any “real life” examples of what modesty looked like.  Lord willing, I will delve deeper into this topic soon!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

  1. Enjoyed your video! We have so much in common. I also used to dress in a way that brought attention to myself. God has used it to give me a deep conviction on modesty. We also have seven children whom we homeschool! Our oldest is celebrating his 13 th birthday, today. So glad I found you. I look forward to your future posts. Although I don’t blog much anymore, if you’d like to read about God’s miracles in my life, you can find me at Angela’s sewing for sanity.

    Love in Christ,

    • Thank you so much for sharing Angela! Happy Birthday to your oldest! My oldest is 15. They grow up too fast! 😊

  3. Hi Nicole, thank you so much for this video – you are so brave! And you speak so well. I love your heart, I can just see a light in you and a passion for the message God has given you. Your posts recently have really sparked something in me. There are probably a few articles of clothing {eg. skinny jeans} that I need to review in my wardrobe – not to follow rules, but because something in my heart tells me something isn’t right.

Just a question: Could you explain more about the verse you shared in 1 Timothy about the correlation between men praying and women dressing? I’m interested and would like a little more exposition, if that is possible?

Thank you so much again, I am thankful you are back blogging.

    • Hi Sarah, thank you so much for stopping by! The key in the comparison is “likewise,” or in some versions “in like manner.” Paul is saying that women dressing modestly is “like” men praying. The definition of “like” is “having the same characteristics or qualities as,” so Paul was saying that dressing modestly has the same characteristics and qualities as praying. I hope this helps!
