Bible Verses About Hope

hope

Hey friends!  Sometimes, our life situations can feel overwhelming.  I’m so thankful that I don’t have to go it alone, and can turn to Jesus for hope and comfort.  I would love to share a few verses that have helped me through hard times in my life…the hope that we have in Christ trumps all!

LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. (NLT) Psalm 10:17

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. (NLT) Psalm 38:18

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (NLT) Isaiah 43:2

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.  (ESV) Romans 5:2-5

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (ESV) Romans 15:4

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (NIV) 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

I hope that these verses spoke encouragement to you today, friends!  May God bless you!
