Becoming Debt Free (January Update)

January has been flying by, and I wanted to share an update as far as our “debt free journey” is concerned.

Sometimes it seems like this process is going to take so long.  I’m a very impatient person sometimes, and I can definitely tell that the Lord is working on me through this.

Since the last update, we have paid off our phones ($660), paid $1,500 towards our personal loan, and paid off our van ($550).  Our van title came in today, as a matter of fact!  It is such a nice feeling to actually own it now.

Our personal loan is actually a credit card consolidation that we did with our credit union two years ago.  We had a huge sum of money which was owed on credit cards from being sued by my ex-mother in law for grandparent visitation rights many years ago.  The amount owed is now down to $7900, and I’m so thankful that there is now a light at the end of that tunnel.

I’ve been working like crazy on etsy orders and I’ve started to share Young Living with others.  I truly believe that God brought Young Living into our lives at just the right time.  I’m thankful to add their products to our immune boosting routine.  I would love to share the ways Young Living can supplement your family’s health with you if you are interested.  Please just message me!

As Dave Ramsey says, “you eat an elephant one bite at a time.”  Friends, sometimes I feel like a big, fat elephant is sitting in front of us.  But by God’s grace, we are working on it.  This has been a long time coming!

Something that I’ve needed to be reminded of by my husband lately is that God brings the increase.  Some days I’ve felt frustrated by my feelings.  I want to go out more.  I’m tired of working so hard.  It’s hard to work from home and homeschool.  But we need to keep putting our best foot forward, and hopefully as we become better stewards of God’s blessings He will take care of the rest.

Blessings!
