My name is Nicole, and I hope that this site is an encouragement to you! Among other things, I am passionate about gospel-centered, biblical family discipleship. My greatest desire is to share the absolute joy and blessing that motherhood brings. Being a wife and mother is an incredible calling. Regardless of your circumstances in life, if you are expecting, God has called you to be a mother. Hopefully when you read from this site you will become refreshed and desire to serve your family at home.
Although I still have so much to learn myself about raising a family for God’s glory, I hope that this blog, in a sense, offers Titus 2 encouragement.
The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
While I’m by no means an old woman, (I’m 34), my heart is to share pertaining these things. I know that I will learn so much from you also! Our focus in the home should be to compliment our husband’s biblical leadership, to build a home for God’s glory, and to raise children with a heart for God. As it has been said before, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.
I also hope to share information about birth control from a biblical viewpoint, as well as helps to young mothers who face an unplanned pregnancy. I was a teen mother myself, and would love to share with you.
I’m a sinner who’s been saved by grace and am the mother to seven precious children on this earth, and two in Heaven whom we lost through miscarriage. Jesus Christ is my Lord, and I am but His humble servant. What a joy, and an honor it is to serve Him!
My family and I are Christ followers, and we hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
I live with my husband and children in the beautiful rolling hills of northwest Georgia. We are a homeschooling family, and absolutely love it!
*This photo was taken at a special event facility just a hop, skip, and a jump from our home. We love living here with our babies. *
Join us on Thursdays for the Growing in Grace Link-Up! All posts pertaining to Biblical Womanhood are welcome.
Please take a look at the Shop section of our site for homeschooling resources.
In my spare time (cough), I love to craft. Please take a peek at my etsy shop, Joyfully Made!
*¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious JOY, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9 *¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•.
Also, a percentage of the profits received through the sale of these items goes to purchase baby supplies for my local crisis pregnancy center. This center is a pro-life, Christ-based organization, and such a good cause. Thank you so much for helping purchase diapers, wipes, and other goods for these precious babies.
I love to meet fellow mothers, please feel free to introduce yourself! If you have any questions, please use the contact form found in either the right sidebar or menu tab.
May I introduce you to my Savior?
May I suggest a few resources that might aid your growth in the Lord?
(Pastor of Preaching Voddie Baucham)
Voddie Baucham wears many hats. He is a husband, father, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker and church planter. He currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX. He has served as an adjunct professor at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX, and Union University in Jackson, TN. He has also lectured at Southern Seminary.
Voddie makes the Bible clear and demonstrates the relevance of God’s word to everyday life. However, he does so without compromising the centrality of Christ and the gospel. Those who hear him preach find themselves both challenged and encouraged.
Voddie’s area of emphasis is Cultural Apologetics. Whether teaching on classical apologetic issues like the validity and historicity of the Bible, or the resurrection of Christ; or teaching on biblical manhood/womanhood, marriage and family, he helps ordinary people understand the significance of thinking and living biblically in every area of life.
It is impossible to understand Voddie’s approach to the Bible without first understanding the path he has walked. Raised in a non-Christian, single-parent home, Voddie did not hear the gospel until he was in college. His journey to faith was a very unusual and intellectual one. Consequently, he understands what it means to be a skeptic, and knows what it’s like to try to figure out the Christian life without relying on the traditions of men. As a result, he speaks to ‘outsiders’ in ways few Bible teachers can.
Voddie Baucham holds degrees from Houston Baptist University (BA in Christianity/BA in Sociology), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.), an honorary degree from Southern California Seminary (D.D.), and additional post-graduate study at the University of Oxford, England (Regent’s Park College).
Voddie and his wife, Bridget have been married since 1989. They have eight children, Jasmine, Trey (Voddie, III), Elijah, Asher, Judah, Micah, Safya and Amos. They are committed home educators.
